New year, new goals, new you, and new places to go.
Out with the old, in with the new. New year, new goals, new you, and new places to go. For the past 5 years I've been writing articles about my trips, even commenting and making reviews of places, restaurants and hotels. But what I'm shocked to know is that I haven't done a feature of Bohol, my province of firsts.

As a traveler, one of the things I look forward to is a comfortable place to rest my feet with a clean bathroom to go with it. Yes! This may not sound like your backpacker traveler, but hey to each his own.
Since we still have a month to go before our singles yearly summer trip, I have ample time to search the net for the most affordable yet comfortable place to stay. There were a few choices to stay in Caramoan, one is in Paniman (the jump off point for the island hopping tours), Naga City (which is still far from where the action is), Caramoan Town Proper and the islands for campers. I opted to go for Caramoan Town proper or Paniman since we do not want to go on camping nor do we want to be far from action. Another qualification for a resort/hotel that I was looking for was the pool. Thinking that I might not enjoy the open water because I was not a good swimmer (which is by the way is not true) As I've read through blogs, 3 major resorts popped out: Gota Village, West Peninsula Villa and Tugawe Cove. Let me breakdown these resorts for you. Caramoan is a first-class municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines. It is located at the tip of the Caramoan Peninsula, a rugged place of land extending into the waters of the Maqueda Channel on the north and east and Lagonoy Gulf on the south. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 44,945 people (Wikipedia) As with any journey, who you travel with can be more iportant than the desitnation. The yearly singles summer trip is coming and as usual I was the designated coordinator. Location of this years outing: CARAMOAN. Travelling to Bicol is not new to us as we spent last year's summer in the other side of it in Calaguas.
Caramoan started to boom its tourism after local channels featured it alongside with the Survivor taping venue. It's a 9 hours travel from Manila. We opted to go on bus this time instead of the usual van trip. Isarog/Penafrancia bus lines went into mind as they offer deluxe seating a.k.a Lazy boy seats. Booking of tickets in advance is a must. You can try to call their office but going to their main office personally in Cubao would help you get rid of one problem. One way ticket is 1000/head. Unlike other bus lines, here you can also book your ticket back to Manila. |
ME.When I was a kid, I dreamed of travelling around the world. Now that I'm all grown up, I try to live my life on these two questions: where do you want to go? and how much is your budget? Archives
